Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actress best well-known for her films in Ray Undercover Brother and on the TV show The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. She began acting on stage and then appeared in mainstream, independent and TV series. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received high praise but also a number of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. Her first professional performance was in the role of Ariel, in The Tempest. Stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Her most well-known work is her work in Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In her television work, she's been recognized for her part in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
