Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the young age of fourteen. Aspen Laddd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing and wrestling before making her amateur debut at WCFC aged 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and continued her three-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in all the fights. In the following weeks Ladd went on to WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen took on Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen in the fight, beating her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's amateur records were destroyed. Ladd was able to bounce back to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the first round via TKO. Her next bout was a win at the hands of Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used her superior grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her via the third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen later faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy using the catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd had not made the weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to the point that she finished her with a TKO. At Invicta FC 21, she had her final bout for the organization. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was on UFC Fight Night 118 at which point she fought Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and then pounded her on the ground for a second-round TKO victory. Her dominance grew and she scored an impressive win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd won over Evinger in just the first minute and earned a reward for her performance during the night. Her first major fight in the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. They fought in unbeatable fight that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. Both fighters earned the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak in only 16 seconds. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round in the UFC at ESPN 7. For a rematch, she defeated Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
