Shailene Woodley is an American actress and activist. As a character in The Descendants, she played Alexandra King, an addicted teenager. In the wake of her performance, which was awe-inspiring of The Descendants she went on to play a variety of parts that demonstrated her versatility. Shailene went on to secure a place of prominence within the film industry at a young age in her career which is an achievement in itself. She started her career on television and commercials, before moving on to Hollywood films. Because of her acting abilities she's been awarded numerous accolades, such as MTV Movie Awards, People's Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards. Additionally, she has been invited to be nominated for several some other notable awards like the BAFTA Awards. Golden Globe Awards. and Primetime Emmy Awards. Shailene isn't just a talented actor but as an environmentalist and activist. Along with her mother she co-founded All it Takes as a non-profit organization in the year 2010. The organization was awarded the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award in recognition of co-founding All it Takes at the Global Green Environmental Awards' 20th Anniversary in 2016.
