Agnes Bruckner
Agnes Bruckner (born August 16, 1987) was an American model and actress. Bruckner was born in Hollywood, California, to an Hungarian father and an Russian mother, who later separated. Her paternal grandmother was German. The couple met in Hungary and immigrated into the U.S. in 1984 through an asylum camp in Italy. Bruckner has two sisters and a brother. Bruckner's career began at age 11. Her commercial roles were featured in a few shows on television and the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful in 1999. The first time she played a lead character was on Blue Car (2002). The film portrayed a girl in high school, who was having an affair David Strathairn, her teacher. Roger Ebert, a film critic, said the film's critic that Bruckner was "completely committed to negotiating this challenging film." The role of Bruckner was rewarded with an Independent Spirit Award nod for "Best female leading role."
