
Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from America. His most well-known role was Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in the television series Magnum, P.I. The actor was nominated five times for Emmy Awards as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (1980-1988) and took home the Emmy Award in 1985. Since the year 2010, Selleck has been co-starring as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. In nine television movies based upon the Robert B. Parker novels in which he portrayed Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town chief of police, which began in 2005. Selleck also starred in Three Men and a Baby (1987), and Three Men and a Little Lady(1990). Since Magnum, P.I., the actor has appeared in more than 50 roles on TV as well as in film, such as the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball and Lassiter. He was a recurring TV actor, playing Monica Geller's lover Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the attractive, unassuming partner, in The Rockford Files; and as A.J., the casino owner.
